a question what's arbitrage ?

It's when someone looks at the alexa charts before an update, buying what they know will go up. Technically it's not cheating, but people frown upon it.

I am very happy to see our group still going. I can only wish and hope that arbitrage will be taken out of our game.

If that day will come I will start again to play fully our game. But till that day comes I will drop by ever so often to say hi to my old time game friends!

Hi bluecat, yeah I am back and maybe will play a bit again this game. But for the short time being I don't think I can spare the time and energy to play the game full time.

Health wise I am doing much better, ulcer went away only to come back after my honeymoon, but is something you learn to deal with and now it seems to have went away again. So again feeling much better.

In case I forget to tell my friends here I got married on June 14th this year so yeah now I am a married man lol

YEA! Glad your tummy is better. Hats off to your mate that must have been some honeymoon to cure an ulcer! LOL

Thank you. I wish I can get rid of this thing, but doctors told me that once you get it, you have it for life. In short you don't know when it might come back or what it might triger it!

To all my friends on here please remember life is very short to say the least.

Why am I saying this since I found out I have stomach ulcer and I would have never ever thought at my such young age (only 31 currently) will ever have to worry about something like that.

I knew for a few months I was not feeling good and it was one of the main reasons I stoped playing this game and a few other things to have more time to relax. But when I went to my doctor and he told me I had a ulcer (I know is not fatal now for almost anyone that gets a ulcer, you can all relax lol) it still hit me like a bullet.

We all worry to be the best we can be and to always improve from what we did yesterday! But remember we have to always say to the people we love how much we love them each and every day at night and in the morning, since we don't know if we will ever see them again!!!!

I didn't want to bring the ulcer thing up and as well another side effect that I have from it. But in the end I did this since I wanted all of you to know it doesn't matter how many times you will be a Hall of Famer in this game or any other game! All that it will matter in the end, is that you did what you really wanted to do (not breaking the law by any means now though).

There is one old saying and that is we only have only life to leave that we truelly know about. I am Romanian Orthodox Christian but still this saying means everything to me, since it tells me to leave my life to it's full capacity and not worry about either tommorow or the small things that upset us in our lives!!!!!

How can you buy shares when the window is closed? Is that some kind of programming bug ?
And how can looking at alexa be cheating ?

You can't.

You can't buy shares when the trading window is closed. But you can search for shares while the window is closed and as soon as trading window is open you can buy the shares you wanted. It's a unfair advantage in my opinion and many other players.

I do have to be honest and tell you that according to Colin nothing is illegal anymore either then buying dummy domains.

The trading window isn't perfect. Alot of times Alexa will update and it will take urladex a few minutes to realize this and close the window. So "Arbitrage" is watching Alexa for the second it updates and finding stocks that are about to jump and buy them before the window closes. It's not officially cheating, it's just kind of sleazy

You can also look at alexa while the window is closed to see what jumps and then look to see if it gets updated here. If it has not updated and the window opens up you can buy it and get the jump. This basicly forces the update.
There can be (and is) more involved but I will not go over that here. Don't need to be giving a "How to" class LOL
